Now that the temperatures are finally rising and the days are getting longer our pets are spending more of their day outside basking and frolicking in the sunshine. While during this time of year it's tempting to feed them when they are outside, don't do it.

That's because your pet doesn't always eat everything in their bowl and whatever your pet doesn't eat immediately is available to rats, mice, raccoons and other animals. To avoid this potential problem, only provide your pet the amount of food they need at that time of the day so they won't leave any leftovers. Better yet, place their food where only they can access it, such as indoors or at least up on a deck, if possible.
