Elvis sang in the movie "Girls Girls Girls" this song
"Because of Love (of Cherries)"
an excerpt
Because of cherries, I'm the happiest guy
And life is sweet as cherry cream pie
Well heaven and earth are now all mine
I've jumped to the moon from cloud number nine
Because, because, because, because of love of cherries!

The first of the cherries have shipped! And the Bings and Rainiers ship Monday!
And they are beautiful and awesome! Sweet cherries are the best! Early Robins (all gone now) are often a clear indication of what’s to come and, if true this year, we are in for a heavenly season of cherries!
Big, ro-busty, firm with a soft side, they are a joy to hold in the palm of your hand! Each of the cherries we have are different in flavor, size, crunch-e-ness, and each will create long lasting joy!
We are taking last minute orders right now for Bings and Rainiers, they ship Monday!! Based on availability.
Cherries are picking, order right now!

Sweet Sweetheart tarter Cherries
A brilliant red, Sweethearts are a fairly new sweet cherry developed in British Columbia. A large, bright red fruit that matures often five to ten days after Lapins, the Sweethearts have great flavor with a nice hint of tart on the finish to balance the sweetness. Their unique taste is a spectacular finale for the summer cherry season. The slight tartness makes them the best of the bunch for baking, as they lend that slight "sour" cherry flavor to pies, breads and my favorite recipe: cherry clafouti. We love this cherry best!

Amlou = Argan Oil, Almonds, Honey
This healthy ingredient smooth like a creamy peanut butter has a distinct taste that is incredibly addictive. At first spoonful, as you lick and then smoosh it around, flavors of the argan, almonds and the sweetness of the honey blend perfectly. Just a tiny bit of texture keeps it interesting as you press your tongue to the roof of your mouth and finish the taste. It's like a little bit of heaven in a jar. The Argan oil is one of nature's amazing elements!

Fresh Cherry Dessert Compote Recipe
Here's a brilliant way to turn frozen or fresh (but maybe not perfect for eating) cherries into an irresistible dessert. Serve over vanilla ice cream, and you're set. Look for cherry "seconds" at your local farmers' market - still delicious, but less aesthetically perfect than the "firsts."
Roasted Chicken with Salsa Verde Recipe
Sauce Verde is a piquant herb sauce traditionally made with parsley. Albert has added a handful of other appropriate herbs for a slight variation. The fruitiness of the Chef’s Pick Organic California Extra Virgin Olive Oil adds a nice rich flavor to the herbs.
Pappardelle w/ Peas & Wild Mushrooms Recipe
Another mouth-watering favorite adapted from Keith Snow's new cookbook, The Harvest Eating Cookbook. Traditionally made with Pancetta and peas, we made this with wild chanterelle mushrooms the other day -- and it was SO GOOD! If you can't get wild mushrooms, your store-bought brown ones will work fine too. |
