Inchelium Red Organic Garlic
We don't usually sell softneck varieties of garlic - because usually softneck garlics aren't my favorite - as they are bitter and harsh, and impossible to peel. But this Artichoke variety of softneck garlic is the exception. The cloves are huge, as they are properly dried they are easy to peel, and their flavor is as mellow and warm as a rocambole - if not more-so.

A pickle like you have never ever had!
Black Garlic Pickle!
It just might be the best combination of food words for the year.
Black Garlic and pickle. Pickle as in adding to the lifespan of foods thru promoting good bacterial growth and keeping bad bacteria growth at bay.
To the nose you get the whiff of vinegar and tinges of spices.
To the mouth?!! It is a wondrous creation of flavors that runs thru your taste buds leaving a fabulous tingly ring around your mouth.
The flavors are a wild range of black garlic and turmeric, cumin, ginger and the tickle of chili! They just come together so nicely. If you taste just the “sauce” without the dates (which are very smooth and fall apart), it conjures up visions of happy sandwiches, perfect steaks and cheese.
Woowee! What a fabulous taste! A 3 Star Great Taste Award Winner.

Hummingbird Raw Blueberry Honey
We have tested this honey for a couple of months now. Tested is a loose way of saying "we ate the whole thing" and it was good!
It was smooth at first and over time it crystallized, like most raw honeys. The sugaring that happens is quite nice. And not unpleasant at all.
The blueberry is in the honey and you can taste it. Like all honey it is sweet and in a cup of hot water it does spread out nicely. With many teas it pairs nicely and on a nice morning toast it is quite right!

Acetoria Fig Vinegar
Acetoria vinegars are made with the utmost attention to detail - from the sugar and acid levels of fruit that are pressed, fermented and then acidified, to the quality of the wine used to make their wine vinegars.
Vinegar "mothers" are carefully chosen, the temperature and humidity of the process is carefully controlled and just the right type of wood is used for the appropriate aging period.
The result is vinegar with rich, deep and complex flavors, to be savored in their own right. More than just acids for your favorite salads, they are liquids that whole meals can be built around.
Along with numerous delicious wine vinegars made from high-quality DOC wines, many fruit vinegars are produced in various styles. However, in each case it's not merely a wine vinegar infused with fruit flavor, but the fruit is actually pressed and fermented into wine, and then put through an acidic fermentation. The result is a deeper fruit flavor from start to finish, and a softer acidity.
This Fig Vinegar is made from fresh figs grown in Italy. It is the essence of fig with a fully rounded, light finishing flavor.

Organic Stone-Cut Oatmeal
Every list of “super foods” has oats near the top. You’ve seen the commercials - eating oats is known to lower cholesterol and improve cardiovascular health. Oats are an excellent source of fiber. They even help stabilize blood sugar - at any time of day.
The unusual flavor and texture of these amazing Scottish pinhead oats may be attributed to the final drying process, carried out in the old fashioned 'flat kiln', which is believed to be the only one of its kind used in Britain today. The oats are dried in the kiln for four hours, during which time they’re turned twice by hand shovel. It is this very specialized process, perfected by the miller, which makes the flavor and texture unique.
Food & Wine talks about Oatmeal
"Most oats resist quick cooking. Now Scotland's The Oatmeal of Alford is offering stone-ground organic pinhead oats that are slightly smaller than steel-cut oats and cook to a nutty, risotto-like consistency in only 20 minutes."
-- rob - F&W
This oatmeal is amazing
"I never thought I'd find oatmeal that surpasses my love of steal cut oats, but this is not only tastier, but also cooks faster. Love it with toasted almonds and berries."

Almond Coconut Cold Drink Recipe
Also known as Licuado de Platano.
Licuados are milk-based drinks often made with fruit. In this case with bananas. All you need is a blender and in about a minute you are swallowing a soothing smoothie! We modified it slightly to mix-it-up for a summer refreshing twist.
Incredibly easy to make and incredibly satisfying! Make it super cold!
Beets with Goat Cheese & Walnuts Recipe
Some how fresh Goat Cheese and Beets just go so nicely together. Something about the sweetness of the beets together with slightly acidic, pithy taste of the goat cheese creates a perfect flavor balance. Add the slight crunch of the toasted walnuts and you have a perfect combination. We made the dish as a vegetable side. But you can add a little more dressing and serve it on a bed of greens or butter lettuce, and you have a side salad. Many chefs add chunks of avocado -- to add a little more anti-oxidant punch.
Baked Tomatoes with Salmon, Garlic & Capers Recipe
One of my favorite ways to eat up some of those large beefsteak-like tomatoes coming from your garden. Always a hit.
This recipe adapted from Marcella Hazan's cookbook, Marcella Cucina (Haroer Collins Publishers, 1997).
