Health Heat Heart!

Spicy Mustard Seed Oil
Spicy Mustard Seed Oil that is Erucic acid free, is "naturally from nature" - grown and created in Australia. It is cold pressed, no trans fats, cholesterol free, rich in essential fatty acids - Omega's 3 & 6, strong in vitamins A & E and Beta Carotene - has a high smoke point (415?), is gluten free, kosher, and has a great shelf life. Yet another great oil that is healthy!

With its medium spicy flavor, it is not too hot but definitely has a little kick. You can use it for stir-fry, in Asian based dishes, and is wonderful as part of your own BBQ sauce creation. Fry in it to add some punch to your dish. This oil might just help you change-up the norm, add a interesting twist, and bring a bite to your summer. This is an oil that has a spice, and, with its high smoke point, you can use it to wok in, to brush on burgers, in a marinade, or even on your salad greens.

Maui Ribs

It's time... we are definitely in BBQ season, and ribs of all kinds are great to have. I've been doing a lot of smoking in my new Traeuger smoker grill, with some great successes and lots of mediocre results. The one thing I can't seem to be able to do is burn anything - no matter how hard I try. With no direct flame, it makes sense…but I will keep trying.

The one thing that seems absolutely flawless on the grill is Rick's Maui Ribs. They have come out perfect every time! Smooth tasting, and soft and subtle. Now I can tell you that, on a conventional flame-based grill, you can char these babies to a crisp - and quick. And, although I like a lot of food that way, it really makes them hard to eat.

Whether on the grill or in the oven, they are mighty good and really say summer!

5 pounds of maui ribs -- ready for the grill! Expedited shipping is included in the price.

Meet Maui Ribs — the perfect treat for the rib lover! Quick to prepare on the grill, these succulent, meaty ribs make for a quick a gourmet dinner at home or an impressive offering to share with friends—bring them to your favorite summer barbecue!

Rick's Maui Ribs were chosen as a top pick by Food & Wine Magazine.

Recipes of the Week

It is cherry season! Although, sweet dark cherries are really meant to be eaten crisp and cold straight from the fridge, sometimes you just want to find other ways to enjoy them. Especially after 2 or 3 days, when you have had your fill, and the cherries are no longer their best.

Fresh Cherry Dessert Compote
A perfect way to use some of your excess cherries -- delicious over honey or vanilla ice cream.

Fresh Sweet Cherry Clafouti
A classic French dessert and one of our favorites. So simple to make and a real treat. And when cherry season is over - it is easy to substitute plums, pear or peaches.

Almond Cake with Cherry Sorbet and Sugared Cherries
If the sorbet is already made, this dessert is fast and so elegant. No baking needed - and so good.
