Way back in the way-back time machine, we got a bottle of Meyer Lemon Olive Oil and it made us view the world in a different way. Once upon a time, we swore we would never be a slave to "flavored" oil. Considered a forbidden way, not pure. We like our oil to be simple and clean. Why tarnish a great oil with a "flavor"? Blasphemy!

Premium Almond Paste - new shipment
When we shipped almond paste to Aspen Food & Wine Classic in 2008 for Jacques Pépin to use in his almond cake, we thought we shipped plenty... But, he wanted to have the student chef test the recipe before reproducing it on stage. Well, the student promptly made the wrong amount of batter and used up all the almond paste we had sent! Panic ensued as we no longer had enough paste for the demonstration and it was too late to fly in any replacement paste, as FEDEX doesn't arrive into Aspen until the afternoon. So, off to the local grocer John went to find almond paste - in a can. When we opened it, the paste was covered in a blackish molasses-looking mess, and the taste resembled a chemical rendition of an almond joy candy bar. Nonetheless, the show went on. Jacques made the cake on stage, and after the demo the results were quickly sent to the garbage for fear someone might actually eat it!

With this Premium Almond Paste, you will have no fears of any unknown gloppy-looking thing in a can. It comes in a plastic tub that is resealable, and the contents are sweet perfection of almond (in fact, I have a test tub sitting here and am eating a little every sentence or so to inspire me while I am writing).
