Sometimes, we have to wait for great things to come together. In this case, crushed together. Olives and citrus are a wonderful combination; a fractal relationship if you will.
The smell first fills your nose with citrus sweetness. Fill a big spoon, and every whiff is a pleasing fill. On the first “tip” of the spoon the oil coats the lips and the tongue dips in. The aroma fills the void above the tongue and the lemony vapor snips at the sensors around your teeth.
When the lemon oil migrates to the back of the mouth and your tongue presses to the roof, there is a tingle and sometimes a poke at the back of the throat, like any good olive oil will. A touch of new oil burn.

Sour Cherry
Sweet Syrup!
That familiar flavor from your childhood comes rushing back - in a positive way; lightly sweet, thickly syrupy, delicious. Perfect as a dessert topping, or in your bar pantry. They might be sour cherries but it's a perfect sweetness of a syrup.
It was 1879 when Rudolf Darbo laid the foundations for a "fruit steamery" in Gorizia (now in Italy by the Slovenian border). That was the start of what is now one of the most successful companies in Austria's history. Some 50 years later, his son, Adolf Darbo, relocated the company in the Tyrolean village of Stans, concentrating his efforts on producing quality syrups and bottling honey.
In 1970, the family company, now under Klaus Darbo went into the third generation. Klaus Darbo, followed the company tradition by resolutely continuing the strategy of manufacturing products of superior quality. Darbo's capacity for innovation was one of the key factors in the company's success. In 1994, Darbo launched its premium quality fruit syrups line - and we are glad they did.
Darbo fruit syrups are highly concentrated fruit juices for dilution with water. Over 80% fruit juice content from selected varieties for a unique taste experience. No chemical preservatives or colourings are used in the production.

Miele (honey) Millefiori (thousand flower liqueur):
The northernmost tip of Umbria juts between the regions of Tuscany and Marche. The area is also just a stone's throw from the southern edge of Emilia Romagna, a beautiful landscape in the heart of Italy's central Apennine Mountains. Helped by a lack of usable roads, this rugged area is relatively undisturbed by man. Full of national parks and preserves, it is home to some of the most diverse flora in all of Europe. It is in these rugged mountains that Vinicio Mosconi takes his bees to make honey for Giuseppe Cagnoni of Etruria.
At room temperature the honey is golden colored, thick and spreadable. The floral aroma is second to none and the flavor is rich and bright with enough acidity to keep it from being too sweet. It is a perfect honey for both the table and the kitchen.
Sel Gris (gray salt) aux North African Spices:
Grey salt from the Guerande, France, mixed with coriander, cinnamon, fenugreek, mustard, curcuma (turmeric), ginger, cumin and cloves. A blend which smells like a slice of spice! A wonderful nose notwithstanding, it tastes great and adds everything you might want when traveling to North Africa, in your kitchen. And with an excellent salt as the base, the finish is, of course, perfect.
Sherry Vinegar - Lustau Pedro Ximenez
Lustau's sherry vinegar can stand with the best balsamics, and presents a wonderful all-around resource for your kitchen. Think outside of the box! Use this vinegar for added depth, richness and flavor in salads, in marinades, drizzled to bring out the flavor of soups and stews. Sherry vinegar is delicious on roasted peppers, and when paired with a braised chicken it shines!
Sherry vinegar, or more properly "Vinagre de Jerez," is considered by some to be the finest vinegar in the world. It's wine vinegar made from sherry, the famous Spanish fortified wine. "Fortified" means that when the grapes ferment into wine, neutral spirits are added, contributing flavor and character (and alcohol content). Real sherry vinegar is produced in the Spanish province of Cádiz on the Atlantic coast, inside an area known as the "sherry triangle." It means that not all sherry vinegars are the same.
