The perfect Pair
Pear is the first ingredient!
Sometimes even before you open the jar you know that you are in for a real treat. Jams and Jellies and Marmalades can be quite special and sometimes not so much.
With Oregon Growers and Shippers you know that what’s inside is good and always worth eating.
Sometimes though, it can be even better than that. This time it is. When you first take the spoon to scoop the first taste you know that the typical jelly feel you anticipate is replaced by the perfect mouth feel of just right fruit.
The Cranberry Pear Fruit Spread is very smooth, yet not “canned cranberry jelly” like. In the mouth you get just a hint of “texture”, really just right. To the nose you can feel the cranberry and a tingle of Thanksgiving!
The Lemon Pear Marmalade nose is all lemon. To the mouth though it is more pear with a lemon peel finish. The texture is what this one is all about! The texture of the pear gently falls apart as the pear flavor shifts to lemon. For something so simple it acts so complex.
And the best part, they are both not-too-sweet, and with a spoon they are a refreshing treat!
As you read this the cranberries of the Oregon coast are being harvested.

Pumpkin Spice
Raincoast Crisps - Just-in-time for Halloween.
Everytime we see a Raincoast Crisp we get excited. Why? It might be the wavy look that each crisp has that makes it fun to eat, or that when you look at each “slice” you can see all the ingredients.
If you look you'll see these crisps are packed with pumpkin seeds, raisins, brown sugar, pecans, flaxseeds, oats, sesame seeds, sea salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice packed edge-to-edge. Kinda sounds like Halloween all wrapped up in a pumpkin crisp.
Add the right topping like a creamy cheese or maybe even a pumpkin spread and the crunchy soft bite is a good one.
It’s non-gmo month so this is a great time to add this crisp!

Loki Fish Company
Family established in 1979
Half a dozen years ago we had a wonderful canned salmon on our “shelves”. We couldn’t sell enough and the family didn’t have enough to sell to us. Since then I have always wished to have it back in stock so we could share with you a little of the Northwest.
This 2 boat fishing family started in 1979 and has stuck to staying small and selling in the local farmers markets and at Fisherman’s Terminal here in Seattle. The first son captains the original boat, F/V Loki and Dad on the other, F/V Njord, with Mom at home over sea’ing the books while the second son runs the “business” and is actively at every farmers market.
And here’s the deal, the cans are back, packed with Sockeye Salmon! And it’s not a crumble of leftovers either, it’s a “cut” to fit into the can and man is it good!
When you take a bite (and I took quite a few) and close your jaws there is no, what I call squeaky canned fish feel, this sockeye is just smooth,
