Ahh... the gigantor Reed Avocado. It is the epitome of why we love finding food so much. Even before you slice into this thing of natural beauty, you hold it in your hand in wonderment. Its large size, in comparison to the more prevalent Haas avocado, is equivalent to an orange compared to a grapefruit. So enticingly colorful when it's first sliced opened, all you can think of is spooning... They are ready to eat when the skin gives to the touch. Anticipation is the best part, and the reward is definitely worth the wait.
