Lemony Syrup!
Just the right touch!
The preserved lemon syrup from Morris Kitchen has a nice sweet sour lemony flavor. (It’s quite wonderful!)
When you first pour a little into a tablespoon you will notice a few red specs in the syrup and it might make you take pause before popping into your mouth. With cardamom and pink peppercorns in the mix it makes sense and perhaps the secret to why it’s so good!
When taken by a tablespoon in the mouth you can feel the tingle on your tongue, but the flavor itself is a sweet and sour lemon flavor. But don’t think it’s some strange mix of flavors, as it is still lemon syrup, with the spices adding a nice tang.
Like all of the Morris Kitchen products it's a winner!
They recommend making a sparkling lemon Spritzer, warming a little lemon tea or making a preserved lemon cocktail.
I first added it to just a little bit of bubbly water. A good tablespoon adds just the right amount of flavor and sweetness. It’s good!

Spice it up!
Make almost any sandwich better!
Howard told me that this is his favorite of all Mama Lil's. It works really well with meaty hot sandwiches, and with cheese. In other words, these peppers really mix well with others; they enhance as much as they contribute.
From Abruzzi, Italy to Youngstown, Ohio, and then to the Yakima Valley in Eastern Washington comes a recipe that has moved with the people.
At the core of this condiment is the Hungarian Hot Wax, known as the Goathorn Pepper. It took a young man who moved to Seattle and who learned early on that his one jar allotment from his Mom every year was not enough to satisfy his cravings. If he wanted to share with his friends, he needed to make it himself.
In 1992 he did just that. In the basement kitchen of the Seattle Unitarian Church the first batch of Mama Lil’s was born. Over the years Mama Lil's has transformed from the local Church Kitchen, to a robust food service business, serving hundreds of hot dog joints and fancy dancy eateries. Mama Lil's classic Peppas should be a staple in any kitchen arsenal.

Balsamic Mustard
A mustard worth spreading
It’s all about the mustard. Well, that's not completely true when it comes to this balsamic mustard. Add this to a sandwich and feel good that you did more than just spread and eat!
When you add this mustard you get the addition of a combination of mustard heat and the sweet vinegar of balsamic!
As seen in the Wall Street Journal.
A simple but inspired combination! Hawkshead's robust whole-grain mustard blends with richly flavored balsamic vinegar in this winner of a mustard.
Give your salad dressing, sauce or sandwich an extra kick! It's very grainy, not like creamy mustard, making it well suited to add a little texture along with flavor to marinades and dressings.
